Hi
I just started learning drupal and i designed a website but i cant add custom content types i.e. i want to add a page in which i can upload an image then some text and then a video.
and how to add a menu.
and i also want to make a page to show summaries of different related pages.
would someone guide me please?

You can use the Content Construction Kit (CCK) to make content types with additional fields. Besides including some field types, there are many additional modules that implement other field types include image field and several different modules that support video.

As for a page that shows summaries, it depends on what you are after. Views is useful for making "lists" of content in a variety of ways. Depending on your goal, the panels module may also be useful.

thanks nevents for your reply. i installed cck and added it in module list and panel too but i am still unable to add different things on one page and unable to add a menu on top.
would someone please guide me in detail or refer me for some documents or webpage.
and please tell me the name of modules required for same
