As the Rc 1 which is a stable release unless any major bug crops up, rolls out Private Message is desperately needed in full working condition. Can we have this by New Year ?

This is another case where I cannot see why you cannot create this yourself in Views and CCK. No time tonight but I will throw this together tomorrow and we can see how it worked out. Feel free to experiment on your own...of course.

PrivateMsg is simple and cute, CCK + Views is a monster. Also, think about the existing private message bases, they won't be easy to convert with CCK, eh.
