I am looking for a way to allow individual sellers to rent products. Sellers should be able to control the rental rates (daily, weekly, monthly etc.), rental periods (week, months, year etc.), as well as a deposit that can be refunded after the buyer returns the item in good working order.

Although my specific use case focuses on rental of small goods, it may be useful for others who want to rent larger items like rental properties, cars, boats etc. Additionally, the rental product class may be useful to UberCart users in general, not necessarily just UberCart Marketplace users.

Is this possible currently? I think it may simply be an attribute issue though am not sure how to implement it.

Could this be used/based off of the Matrixfield module? A matrix would provide a lot of functionality as well as provide a means to organize rental periods similar to a calendar.
