We are in the process of converting our website from the Mambo to Drupal CMS. The current website (in Mambo) uses a module (kinda crappy and very limited) called mod_newsfeeds_scroller_pro" which scrolls news from rss feeds.

You can see it functioning on our existing site in the upper left under the header (http://www.alternativenews.org/).

I know that the aggregator in Drupal does some of this, but I have been looking on many Drupal websites to see something similar implemented, and have not (preferably something that functions better than our existing one) .

Does anyone know how it would be implemented using aggregator, or if not in that, is there something else that can do this function? Because an updated scrolling newsfeed is an essential element on the homepage of a website such as ours.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I notice that people keep looking at our website to see what we did, so I think I should say that in the end we decided to stay with Joomla. Though we really did want to move everything to Drupal, we couldn't find someone to work with us in the conversion and it became clear to us that it would be a dreadfully arduous headache to make the conversion process alone, in our attempt to keep all of the content, and then have to rebuild the website from the bottom up.

So, instead, we did a major overhaul of the existing Joomla website, and, though it still has many of the backend problems (with the really illogical structure that often makes it difficult to find things that should take two minutes), it now works and looks better enough that it was a good choice to continue.

I hope someday to work in the Drupal environment, but alas, it will have to wait.
