File path setting not respected when updating retroactivly

Hi,

everything seems to work fine so far. But when I want to update filepath settings (I use this module with an image field) retroactively for all images already uploaded just the names of the files are changed correctly - but not the path settings. The folders are not created and the files do not move - they get the new name and remain in their origin folder.
