What is the current status for this project? Will there be an D6-version soon? Are there any other collaborative editors implemented in Drupal?

is the alpha work for D7?

According to the .info file, it is for D6.

The current version on Github is Drupal 6 only. I'm actually looking for a new maintainer for this project as my planned-for-use for the code never materialized and I don't for see myself making any additional improvements to the code.

Dear kyle_mathews,

I'm just starting to use your code to make improvements and use it in a production site, if you are still looking a new mantainer, please let me know.

Thanks.

If the maintenance status on the project page (Actively maintained) is correct, it would be nice to describe the status of this module on the project page. After reading the text there, it sounds like it's in dev but already usable. Is this correct?

It's not particularly usable and it's not maintained. I'll update the module status. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Oh wait... oops -- Jucovschi was working on this... Are you still doing anything Jucovschi?

jucovschi’s picture

Hi,

yes, now I again have time to work on this. Actually I need to have it running on several websites so I'll work on getting it more stable.

steeph’s picture

Great! I'd be glad to help testing on D7 and D6 (if there will be a D6 release).

jucovschi’s picture

@steeph: looks like most of issues are actually solved. Works for me at least. Could you please test it?

steeph’s picture

Edit: Aw sorry, I'm too tired for this right now. Seems to work so far. I'll test it more later.

steeph’s picture

Sorry it took so long. I installed it on two servers and everything seems to be working fine.

There are only two things I noticed: Maybe it should not be possible to "Disable rich-text" since the changes that are made there won't take effect in the pad. The other thing is that the pad looks a bit "open" to the right and bottom if the page background is white. A light grey border would look nice.

The readme is short, simple and good. But the project page could describe better what exactly the module does.

I'll do more testing and will try the D6 alpha tomorrow.

Thanks for the module so far, it's really great!

Where is the D6 version?
Would be very glad to test it.

Title: Status » Status of Etherpad Integration module
Priority: Normal » Major

Is this project supported at all? Lat commit done at May 9, 2012
The code-style is wrong (a lot of tabs)
And idea to attach etherpad as wysiwyg is mostly wrong because on nature of node_save()
I'll take the current codebase into sandbox to try make clean-up and find a proper way to integrate

Renee S’s picture

@andypost Can you provide a link to your sandbox? Would be happy to help test and patch.

Hello all,

Thank you for your interest in the module.
The Etherpad module has recently got new maintainers. We have opened a new branch (7.x-2.x) and committed what Andy Postnikov already did in the sandbox - https://drupal.org/sandbox/andypost/1942974

Thanks

Seems all changes was commited so I could drop the sandbox

Woohoo! =)

Andy,

Let us know if you want commit access to this project. Maksim Podorov has got ownership rights for the project.

I have no active projects that use the module so there's no reason
