I posted about this before, but may have not given enough information...
My acidfree installation isn't working; when I go to an album that I've created, the thumbnails are just grey boxes, and when I click on the link in the middle of them, I get nothing - the title of the image, with no image.
The admin log gives me this message that in clicking on the link, I was going to:
http://www.saltspringconservancy.ca//active/0/84_thumb.jpg
The 'conservancy.ca//active' part of that URL, the two forward slashes, suggests to me that there is something wrong with the path where its storing the photos. Is this correct? During the installation, I followed the directions and created a directory called 'private' outside of the web-accessible directory.
Anybody have ideas? Any help appreciated...

same issue
i am facing the same issue on my site - can you please let me know if this was resolved for you ?
Go into administer >
Go into administer > settings > filemanager
The "Public file system path" should be "files" (or a custom folder name if you want).
Check the "Public file system URL". It should be in the format http://www.yourdomain.com/files where "files" is the name of the "Public file system path".
I had the same problem and that fixed it for me.
worked !!! - partially
thanks !!! i was able to see the pictures on the page however when i click the image it is taking me to an incorrect URL:
It is taking me to
http://www.example.com/node/files/active/0/6_large.jpg
instead of
http://www.example.com/files/active/0/6_large.jpg
can you let me know if there is any additional change to be done

I'm in the same boat with acidfree, I'm trying to figure out how to get the /node out of the url.
