Hay, this is a great module. I am trying this out over signup module because I love the flexibility.
How does a regular user sign out of something though? Is this easy to implement, or no?

I guess you could grant users with permission "Delete own signup content" and add "Delete" links to the View which shows signups for specific event.

Allowing users to delete their signup nodes is the only way I've implemented cancellations at this point. We relabeled the delete links to be more clear for the user.
