i installed the module and works great... but i would need some extra feature: i'd like to restrict access to private files on a single user basis, not on user role.

Here's the workflow i'm thinking of:
-the user can flag the content he/she would like to get and sends a request
-the admin can choose whether the user would be allowed to get the private file. If yes, edits the node and adds a user reference
-the user can now access the file.

wouldn't it be interesting? hope someone can help me out with this: i'll now look at the code in order to find out which functions i should modify.
