I'd love to see more granula permission settings adding a new permission to let roles be able to perform advanced backups or not.

Hello. I don't think more permissions are appropriate for a module like this. The ability to modify the database directly makes permissions and access control somewhat moot, and I don't want to weigh down the module any more.

This could always be done as a 3rd party module if there is great demand.
