As an other possibility to prevent from big images it would be great to have an option, that deletes the original image after uploading. So only the smaller "preview" and "thumbnail" images are stored.

I think, this is an important and really needed option. Without this option in a community where everybody is allowed to upload images you get your web space filled with the large pictures (3 to 8 MB each) of the modern digital cameras. But if you ask your users to resize their pictures before uploading, you will not get any picture because the "normal" user is not able to resize.

So: please enhance the module with this option.
