It doesn't seem possible to configure different players.

For example, to meet designer's requirements, I've modified the player.swf source to handle one type of layout, and added an alternate version (player_alternate.swf) for an entirely different look/feel. A look/feel that goes well beyond the allowed configurations like 'Player Colour Scheme'.

If the location of the .swf was configurable for each player in the player list, this would seem possible.

Has anyone solved this another way or maybe I'm missing another approach?

moving the player into the libraries folder, so you could put any style player in there.

I have created a new 6.x-2.x branch for this project that uses the libraries module and external audio-player file. Please, someone check it out so we can get these security issues cleared and activate our module again.
