this module took me out of my zombieness,
I suggest a better version of this module to fit better for the use of the masses. i do agree that this module should return to its dev mode and be built better.
my version's features:
1. uses hook_init for adding css and js.
2. has a js file for the ready function - sets the jscrollpane for the objects
3. jquery ui theme semi-support (dynamic cssing)- if module exists uses base theme. if uses the dev version of jquery that supports theme roller - uses the current theme definition. - at the moment, in order to choose the color plate - file name needed to be changed in the code
some ideas for future dev:
1. add admin settings page for the module that will include the ability to choose a color plate from exiting theme for active/inactive/hover states and some CSS features.
2. better support in assigning jscrollpane to elements - more ui less js.
3. i did not check this module enough times -tell me if its working for you.
lots of work needed to be done in order to make it a full functioning module

jayjaydluffy commentedyou have new upgrade of your module? I should say you have the best version of jScrollPane module.
also I would like enable jScrollPane ONLY to my "test theme" for a moment. When I enabled the module in my site, it affected all the ENABLED themes, including the LIVE theme. What shall I do so that I can only apply jScrollPane to a specific theme in my site e.g. "test-theme"?
thanks in advance!

jayjaydluffy commentednever mind my previous comment, go that working through body classes.
but i have a couple of issues:
1. the bottom arrow button is cut off. no matter how i applied CSS, it gets cut. i have a border around the arrow buttons, the top is looking great but bottom arrow's bottom border gets cut.
2. when dragging the jspDrag, it continues on getting dragged, even if mouse pointer is no longer over the drag and left-mouse no longer held. can you guide me how to disable that or was that a bug?
thanks! great improvement for a no longer maintained module.

botrisWhat is the difference with http://drupal.org/node/923218?
Now there are two new versions of this module....

zkrebs commentedWould somebody release a module that actually works and is supported? :)
zkrebs commentedThis is a problem with using the older version of the jScrollPane module as well as the jQuery that ships with Drupal -
I recommend using the latest jScrollPane code and using jQuery Update, and *not* using this module at all.

opdaviesI'm happy to accept suggestions and improvements for this module, but these should be submitted as patches to the existing codebase, and not as completely separate versions of the module.
Also, the most recent update for this post was in April 2011 so I think that it can safely be marked as 'closed'.
