Would be sweet to have User Badge presets that we can choose from. The ones at StackOVerflow could be used as a preset for example (these are used on all the stackexchange.com sites as well...):
http://stackoverflow.com/badges

A Views page would be great as well, showing which one was achieved by the user.

"Presets" usually indicates ImageCache. Do you mean badge templates that text can be overlaid upon?

Hello NancyDru,
What I had in mind is preconfigured badges, like a badge, called "Autobiographer" which is configured so that when a user edits his/her post, this badge is awarded. I believe Rules would be needed for this (Features would make it easy to export Rules into a module). How this badge looks on particular sites is up to the webmaster, or they could even change the titles of these badges.

I would hazard a guess that, of the 1,757 currently known users of this module, you would be hard-pressed to find more than 10 users with any common badge. Therefore, we would be imposing some overhead on a lot of users who have no intention of using any given badge.

I think something like #962830: Using Badges as achievements would really be a predecessor to this request.

Some day I will have to learn Features, but today is not the day.
