As I've received a number of questions regarding how we integrated the e-commerce component of memberships on concreteideas.com with aMember software, I've posted an overview on my blog:

I read your article and it's a very good overview of where we are with memberships and very timely to where I am in terms of developing my membership-based business.

Did you pay $139.95 for aMember Pro and then, on top of that, another $40 for the "DruPal plugin" as found at the aMember signup page? $139.95 sounds a bit steep, not to mention the additional $40 for a total of $179.95. But at the present time and due to the lack of good Drupal membership/subscription-based ecommerce module alternatives, it sounds like a feasible alternative.

Were you able to test your aMember functionality on a test web site before rolling it out on your production web site? If yes, was the process easy? If no, why not, or did you simply trust the aMember functionality and simply ran with it? Any insights as to how you rolled out aMember would be especially helpful. Thank you in advance.

I look forward to further improvement when it comes to Drupal membership/subscription-based ecommerce modules. May I suggest you post a comment with a link to your article at http://groups.drupal.org/e-commerce? I think it would be quite appropriate.

Thanks for the article!
