I'm getting a white box next to the search form, be it the left sidebar one that's part of the theme, and in a separate Search block. The id is #edit-search-block-form and I can't for the life of me figure out to make it go away. Help? :)

Some more information might be useful, as you're the only one so far experiencing this problem.
So what exactly does this "white box" look like, which browser are you using and so on.
#edit-search-block-form is actually a hidden form field. Maybe check your browser settings, hidden form fields should actually be - surprise - hidden.
