I've installed gallery2 and have added some photos/albums by clicking on the "site admin" link at mysite/gallery.

But how does a normal user add albums and photos? When I log in as another user I can't find any way to add anything new.

Thanks for your help.....!

Cheers, G

hmmm. that's the problem really! There *is* no "Your album" link appearing. I take it that it should appear in much the same position as the "Site admin" link?

I've checked and re-checked the access settings but I must be missing something. When I go to access settings there's only one option under Gallery that I can enable and that's something like "access original image". There's no "create albums" or "add photos" or anything like that at all.

Very weird. Can you tell me what options you have for Gallery under administer >> access, and under administer >> settings >> gallery? I don't seem to have anything useful.

thanks heaps, G

I don't know about the "your album" link, but I've finally worked out how users can add their own albums below an existing album. The owner of the top-level album has to select "edit permissions" on their top-level album and then allow Everybody users (or whatever group) the ability to add albums or photos.

Did you try logging into your embedded installation -> Site Admin -> User Albums -> then check "show link" under "link to user album" ?

1. Click on the Gallery link on the top- left.
2. Click on Edit Permissions.
3. In Group Permissions, please add Registered Users for Action: "Add Sub Album" and "Add sub Item"
