Translating to Spanish, looking for Days of Week

hey i`m working on a spanish translation of the station module. got a rough draft but will put the .po up here when its been revised. I have a question:

where is the station module getting the days of week for the creation of the taxonomy items "monday" "tuesday" "wendsday" etc that it uses in the archive?

according to the ?q=admin/locale/string/search these strings are already translated to their spanish counterpart.

so how do i get it to create "Lunes" instead of "Monday" catagory on a new sceduled archive? ive tried doing it by editing the taxonomy item after its created. but this results in the next audio archived on the sam day to regress to english. i´ve also tried translatig any relavant strings in the station module.
