Publishing in first step itself

I am using multistep 6.x-1.5. I set the admin settings to following:
Revisions: Last step, after node completion
Publishing: At node completion

I have points enabled when a node is created.

My problem is the node is getting published right after 1st step and user is being assigned points too.
I dont want the content published until all steps are filled and don't want user to get points until all steps are completed.

How can I accomplish this?
