Attached is a revised version of the Nodes help page in the handbook.

  • It simplifies the English, fixes some errors in composition, and makes things clearer.
  • It documents what a "content type" is and how Drupal can use it.
  • It documents the "revisions" feature.
  • It makes the various administration pages for the node module easier to find in context.

It is up to date for Drupal 5.0.

If the attached file is not in the most suitable format, please let me know how to do better.

As with many handbook pages, we need to either figure out how to put sections on each page for 4.7 vs. 5.x, or need a broader solution separating out 4.7.x (or 4.6.x) vs. 5.x specific handbook info.
