Even though in the block settings, the current time is displayed for my timezone (GMT - 7), the counter is 7 hours off.

"Select a date relative to the server time: Wed, 02/02/2011 - 17:33"

This is correct, but the counter displays

16 days, 3 hours, 4 minutes, xx seconds

for an event that's set up for 3:39:00 on the 19th day of Feb 2011

WRONG! As you can see, the counter is 7 hours off

Yeah, I just burned by this exact problem. I set the countdown last week, which was supposed to be at 0 by midnight tonight (I had it set for May 23, 23 hour, 59 seconds), and today the page said there were still 3 days left (and it changed every time I refreshed the page). Unfortunately we sent an eblast out today too that directed thousands of our members to that page. I won't be using this module again any time soon.
