The installation of the DrupalChat module failed.
The installation of the DrupalChat Notifications module failed.

After checking Reports/Recent Log Messages it listed DrupalChat module as:
system 02/03/2011 - 05:28 drupalchat_notifications module enabled. admin
system 02/03/2011 - 05:28 drupalchat_notifications module installed. admin

Eureka!!!! it was enabled but awkward that Drupal 7 had output the message as installation module failed earlier.

Also after reading the read me file included with the module it mentioned the need to enable drupalchat block at admin/build/block which is actually admin/structure/block in Drupal 7 but DrupalChat isn't listed as a block option to enable.

At the moment I'm surfing my demo Drupal 7 fresh install searching for this wonderful feature to just show up and surprise me but it's not happening.

There are currently some serious issues with D7 version. I am working on it. Should fix it soon (in a couple of days).

ya same here
i also get same error message while installing it.....bt after saving settings i can see that this module is enabled bt again when i go to blocks and try to find it i m unable to find it.......
plz solve this issue...
looking forward to use it

I had encountered smilar problem.
In my first load, I got exactly same error.
Later, I deleted it from filesystem and loaded again. No problem.
But, in this case, I still do not see it in among blocks.
I also read that it has a AppBar relation. But, there is not info about it in the installation document.
If so, there is not an AppBar version for D7, yet.

I am not a php expert so, what do you prefer to run DrupalChat in a block?
