We are looking to find a consultant for ongoing drupal work.
Key:
MUST have extensive ubercart & drupal 6 experience. Must have worked with Ubercart, Views, UC Conditional Actions.
Must be reliable--must be able to respond in 24 hours for minor issues, and quickly for urgent issues
Pay is hourly and dependent on negotiations: we like to send an RFP for every project, then follow-up with the phone, and then the developer MUST submit a proposal (detailing what they will do for us, not just, "About 1000 dollars" emails)
Pay is hourly: with that said, additions, changes, etc, can all cause cost/time to go over the original estimate. Just let us know where we are at with your time, and how much time you have to devote to the project.
Must be based in USA and accessible via a regular phone line
Must be careful & test own work
Must be comfortable working on a server--i.e. using shell to get in and make a mysql backup--you would be amazed at how many developers have never done this

We have had some bad experiences with developers: making mistakes on a regular basis, then not being available to fix the mistake for 2 days while customers had a hard time using our website, for instance, after pre-billing us for the work.
We really want someone who is a professional and will do very careful work. We don't mind if it takes longer, if you keep in contact and let us know what is happening with a daily check-in while you work on our project. This does not have to be elaborate. Just, "I spent 2 hours today on bug fixes and 1 hour coding. I will have about 4 hours for your project tomorrow."
