Mobile theme doesn't load for specific content types

I'm having an issue I can't find referenced in any other bug report. I just updated to the dev version (Jan 25). All of these things happen on mobile browsers (Fennec, Chrome, Opera) on mobile devices.

One of the stakeholders noticed that the site wasn't redirecting to the full site from the link (using ?nomobile=true). What is happening is that some pages will get "stuck" rendering the mobile theme, and others will get stuck rendering the normal full theme, regardless of the URL.

The views that are rendered using the mobile theme are the front page, event content types and page content types, as well as the topical and tag archive views.

The views that are rendering using the normal, full desktop theme are article content types and blog content types.

I've gone through the documentation and related links over and over again, but I can't even find a mention of this happening anywhere else. Any pointers?
