Hi,

I have tried to upload a few images to my website via Adding Article, a thumbnail is now shown under the article with a link to the image. If I click on the link I get the message Page not found. "The requested page could not be found." However if use FTP/Filemanager to view my files I can see the image and I can download it to my computer. But if I type the path to the file I get the Page could not be found messages.

How do I make the images viable?

Sam

Not clear idea.
When you see the thumbnail, right click and copy image location.
Then, make sure that the file is really there.

I've just checked and right clicking the thumbnail and choosing copy image location brings up the thumb on its own as it should. However the full size image is not appearing when I click the link.

So is that the location a node or file ?

If you are using ImageCache and CCK, make sure that you have correctly setup links.

It links to a node I think: /sites/default/files/images/image.png#overlay-context=user/1
But if I use /sites/default/files/images/image.png (which is shown in my filemanager) I still get the 404 error.

This is the first time I have used Drupal so I'm not sure what I'm meant to be checking with your second point.
