How do I get CCK fields visible on the Image Import page?

I've installed the Image module. I setup a node type called "Image" that has a CCK Node Reference field. When I go to the Image Import page, there's no dropdown for this CCK field. So when I import images, I have to go to each Image node edit page to select the value for the CCK field.

However, when I assign a taxonomy to my "Image" node type, the taxonomy dropdown does appear on the Image Import page, but the CCK field still does not.

Is there a way to get the CCK field visible on the Image Import page, either for each image being imported or for all images being imported, to streamline the import process?
