Hi forum,
ive been testing various CMS solutions over the last few months and managed to have a dig around in drupal and like what i see..So i decided that I'm would go with using Drupal for one of my new sites. The site will be focused around showcasing house music mixes. I decided to go with version 7, but noticed very limited amount of modules :( -
One issue im facing is searching for an audio player for version 7 - i cant seem to locate a module that will allow me to play mp3 files to members which possibly shows how many plays that file has had.. Can anybody direct me in the right direction?
fingers crossed ;)

Since Drupal 7 was released a month ago, many of the modules havn't been released in stable versions yet. If you can wait until the summer I'm sure that a whole bunch of the modules you are searching for might have been released in stable versions. Otherwise, try out Drupal6 and locate the modules you want to try out. Perhaps you can build your site in D6 and then, when a desired module is released for D7, you can easily and quickly build your site in Drupal 7 since you, by then, know how to do it and what modules to use (with a slight change since D7 contains some modules from start, like Views and parts of CCK).
I'm sorry to say I havn't got any good leads on a module of the kind you're looking for at the moment.
Best of luck to you. It would be nice to hear your decision, so if you have the time, please report back in this thread.

Also in need of media player module
I'm also looking for an audio player type module, if you find anything GoldDust, please let me know.
Found a lead!
I havn't tried to implement this yet, but hopefully will go well: http://drupal.org/project/flowplayer
You can set flowplayer up as an audio streamer like so: http://flowplayer.org/plugins/streaming/audio.html
