if an item has a missing picture it is not showing correctly.

Looks like it is pointing to http://www.example.com/node/modules/amazon/images/....

Looks like there should be a base_url in from the of the $module in each function that has the missing image.

Could you be more specific? I have a lot of problems duplicating this sort of thing. Are you talking about blocks or node pages?

I'm developing on Windows and deploying on Linux and see no problem on either platform.

It's not that I needed a $base_dir, it's that I needed to initialize $module_dir correctly. Thanks for catching it.
