Hi,
Is a port to Drupal 7 planned ? Or is there a feature in D7 that would make this module useless ?
Thanks

hadsie commentedYes, a D7 version is in the works now. I'll be starting a D7 branch shortly and hopefully have a somewhat working version soon. Note that this will be a complete rewrite of the D6 version. It will be much simpler with fewer admin options and make a lot more use of entities and views. Because of this some features will no longer be available in the D7 release that are in the D6 release. However, hopefully the module will be much more flexible for site builders as well.

skilatchi commentedHow's the port going? Any chance you could give a rough idea of timescale?
Tried the D6 version and its great. Just hoping i could use it for a current D7 build.

hadsie commentedNo timeline, no. Just working on it whenever I get enough free time. There's a pretty solid base of code for the D7 module now though. No upgrade path yet and many features still haven't been implemented yet, only the very core of it. You're welcome to give that a shot if you want now, just clone it from git.

Anonymous (not verified) commented@hadsie If you would not have enough time to made the D7 branch as I am interesting in this module So I will start working on it.If you have not enough time for the feature.Hope everything is fine at your end as we don't get any update of the D7 branch from your end as you will assigned this feature request to yourself.

hadsie commentedHey @rancho,
Ya, I really haven't had a moment for this project for a while. Do you have drupal git access? I think you'll probably need to submit a request to the infrastructure team about this, but I'm on board with adding you as a maintainer. The issue is that the project is owned by @suydam who will need to add you unless the infrastructure team can do that for us (I don't have access to the maintainers on the project).

Anonymous (not verified) commentedHello all,
I am start working on the D7 branch and hopefully release the D7 version soon. The D7 will complete rewrite of the D6 version. It will have the same admin options as for the D6.

nimzie commentedAm very interested in this project. Please let me know if you need any help. I'm getting deeper and deeper in to module coding, but I can test, too, and would like to try my hand at helping with documentation.
@nealvalecha have you got any idea of your timeline for an initial release?
Are there any alternative modules available for inviting to nodes? It's a fantastic idea...

naveenvalechaHi All,
If anyone is still interested in making the d7 version of this module then I can start rewriting this.Looking forward to hear from you guys.
Thanks

pepemty commentedI'm not interested in it right now. I had to change plans since no viable module was in sight, and used Rules and some other modules I can't recall right now.
But I'm pretty sure lots of drupalers might benefit of a D7 version of this module, no matter that D8 is so near.
Warm regards from sunny México!

naveenvalechaThanks @pepeMty.It seems that there is the usage of the module https://www.drupal.org/project/usage/1265334 and so If any one wants to use the same feature for your new d7 site use the invite module https://www.drupal.org/project/invite which is under active development.
Thanks
