Image attach create new Image node when content beenig updated

I enable image attach to page nodes. Every time I'm updating the page content and attach a new image, a new Image node is being created but the old one does not being deleted. Its function well but this action leaves useless content and useless files in the system. On heavy traffic site it cause troubles in content management.
