Hi,
I need additional fields. E.g. I want to split name to "first name" and "last name".
Is this possible?

Reading this issue on Simplenews http://drupal.org/node/127178 it is definitely something many need. With Simplenews RealName we have a module that adds one field and I think it wouldn't be necessary to have another module that adds more fields.
