Have several nodes-in-block set up. All are set to show "teaser with links". Have a custom content type for events, which uses CCK fields for event info, as well as body and teaser field (for narrative). Site publisher has placed a node-in-block (node) for an event, but the custom teaser is not the only text displayed. The CCK fields are showing too. Any way for nodes-in-block to omit the CCK fields, as a view with teaser would do?

I do have the Excerpt module installed and wonder if this is the conflict. Have many other modules installed; please let me know what more info you might need.

Just a wild guess for now, but can you go to the 'manage display' screen of that content type and exclude the fields from the teaser build mode ? Will do some tests here this weekend with excerpt, although I can't imagine that would conflict.

Actually, I guess in my case that will work fine now. I thought that I had some working teaser using the CCK fields too so that it would be a problem, but on second look it appears that is no longer the case. So, forgive the interruption, and thanks for responding to the question.
