"A modification of this paper is requested. You should post a modified version as a new paper revision."

We are using this module and our reviewers are asking the 'author' make changes on the original submission.

After Reviewer requests for modification from the author... at the author's side it states:

Decision Status:
A modification of this paper is requested. You should post a modified version as a new paper revision.

Is this a bug on the software? Why can the author just modify the existing paper instead of creating a "new paper version"? How can we allow the author to edit the existing paper without creating a new version?

Can someone please help?
