Hi:
I was searching and i found that the parameter ga_public_status is not working well.
I search in the table gallery_assist and the field data and manually changed the value for it cause i did in the interface cleared the GA cache and didn't work.
When i did that change the authenticate user could see it ...but there are other bugs relative to the permissions .... I suggest to test all about the permissions ..
for example i made some changes in the permission for a rol where a user is asigned but it didn't work ...
i hope this will be fixed ASAP
Thanks ....

Hello,

I'm having the same problem. Tried the following:
- moved from 6.x-1.18 to 6.x-1.19-beta5
- set all to public access

Still no change
Then installed Bulk Operations 6.x-1.0-beta1 and used it to set all albums to public

Changes now observed:
- visitors still have no access to the album
- logged in users are now able to access an album that was created by the admin
- when I now do an upload of an image, I get the following kind of warnings after saving the node:

user warning: Unknown column 'ga_public_status' in 'field list' query: UPDATE gallery_assist SET uid = 1, in_profile = 0, ga_public_status = 2, show_title = 0, show_in_homepage_block = 0, gallery_assist_weight = 20, data = 'a:1:{s:11:\"ga_db_order\";s:3:\"ASC\";}' WHERE gid = 15 in /home/jmpiro/public_html/includes/common.inc on line 3528.

As it is now, the galery cannot be used on the site and I hope that the above info helps in finding a solution to the access problem.

Regards,

Marc.

Update status:

I stepped back from 1.19 beta 5 to 1.18
and patched the gallery_assist.module like explained in #5 of http://drupal.org/node/967946

With this patch, as a temp solution, everyone has now access to the various galleries.

Regards,

Marc.

cool, one year old critical bug and still not solved... actively maintained module info on front page must be a joke
