It would be great if there'll be a feature at l.d.o that allows to comment translations. So that each team member could leave a short explanation of why he/her translated the string this way.
It also can help to avoid "re-approvement wars" between different moderators and to find translations having different meaning in different modules.

A good example of this feature implemented is Notabenoid.

Duplicate of #196878: Add comment field to translation (suggestion), please elaborate there on UI ideas for both entering and displaying comments. Now we have a "transaction entry" for each submission including approval, rejection, etc. So we can add comments to any of those, but need a feasible UI for entering and display.
