Enabling shortcuts in more than one CCK content type

I duplicated an existing content type (changing the name, of course) that has a nodereference field in it. In the new content type, I can't enable "Shortcuts for nodereference fields:". Every time I do, the screen comes back with them disabled. All access controls are set the same for both content types. I hope this isn't a limitation of the module.
