Hi, I just installed the upload_previews module (which is new) - after I had done so, I noticed I had a problem. I disabled the module, but the problem was still there. So I have arrived at the conclusion that it's likely to be upload.module that's causing it. I could be wrong, it's pretty late.
The problem arises when I upload a file using the jQuery functionality offered by v5 RC1 - it does not occur with JS switched off. I have no idea what all the rubbish that the window displays means, so I'll attach a screen grab. I don't really have any other information, other than this was under XP SP2, FF 1.5.0.9.
I also get a situation two files created (file.gif and file.gif.0 or similar) but I can't replicate this :( sorry.

niklp commentedDoes no-one think this is important?? This is in CORE!!
I can confirm that this behaviour is present in FF2.0.01. It however DOES NOT appear in IE7.

forngren commentedChill dude! There are lots of other issues addressed to core.
I can confirm something similar, using slideshow and/or upload_preview. I'll see if I can reproduce this on clean rc.

niklp commentedPardon me... I was just a bit dumbstruck that no-one had caught this yet, given that > 50% of the developers must be using FF?
It happens with upload_preview switched off though - does that mean that u_p cannot have caused this problem, or is that not the case?
Cheers anyway, I was only really looking for some sort of acknowledgement of the issue & my sanity I suppose! :)

forngren commentedWell, it's possible that something in u_p is causing it anyway, the installation may have broken something. What other modules are you using?
I use pathauto, slideshow and upload_preview.

forngren commentedBtw, I did never get any popup-warning, I hav had some separate issues (uploaded files disappear from the list and when I upload a file, changes description and upload another file the first description is reset to filename. Another issue is if I set descriptions to be empty and edit the node the description resets to filename. However, slideshow might be guilty to parts of this)

niklp commentedI have to confess I'm still evaluating modules, as much for fun as anything real. I consequently have a metric doodah-load of them installed. File system is set to public (still don't understand the file workings of this thing) and I also have the three modules installed that you mentioned. Other stuff that could impact on it - well I wouldn't know. Doesn't appear to be much.

drewish commentedi just tested this with FF 2.0.0.6 and it worked fine. i'm assuming since this is such an old but that it's been fixed at some point.
