I have the New ad default duration (days): set to 7 and the Expired ad deletion grace period: set to 3, yet a newly created ad has an expiration date of nearly 100 years! Editing the ad and resetting the expiration date gives a new date which is exponentially higher. What's going on?!

Same problem, however I have an expiry set to 30 days and am getting a date of Fri, 11/29/9107 - 19:46 (7101 years 19 weeks).

EDIT
I found the problem, I did not have the node type defined in the taxonomy for Classified Ads. Once defined, edit the node and selct the correct taxonomy and save.

I was having the same problem with the expiration date. You were right on! Somehow the node type selection in taxonomy was not checked. Don't know why because it had worked previously. Ce la vie!
