The following message appears in many pages of the website:
* warning: mkdir(images): Permission denied in /home/estadoch/public_html/includes/file.inc on line 91.
* The directory images does not exist.
And this in log messages:
Error sending email: SMTP Error: Data not accepted. From: To:"xxx@yyy.com"
I did try every possible settings and couldn't see what could be wrong.
Then I quited and disabled the module, the errors disappeared for some days, then they are back even with the module off.
This is critical because the visitors see the error message in the screen and because the send mail system used by the newsletter and login doesn't work well.
Please help me!

This sounds like the SMTP server you're trying to send to isn't accepting.
And for your other issue, try creating the images directory manually. Generally in files/images depending on your settings.
This isn't really the appropriate place for these questions because I don't think they involve the SMTP module. Try the main forums.
