Hi--First, thanks for a great theme! I appreciate your expertise in building it and your generosity in making it available.

I am having problems with content displaying inside blocks that shouldn't be there. I have spent hours studying this and tried to resolve it but am at a loss. Thank you for any help you can provide. I have attached screenshots that I hope will be helpful in pinpointing where the problem is.

image01: When I create a left sidebar with a view, all content disappears from main section and appears inside the sidebar

image02: when I move the sidebar to the right (and put a non-view-created block on the left) all the content goes where it's supposed to be except the footer gets put inside the right sidebar.

image03: id information for front page (2-column) where footer is in the correct place

image04: id information for 3-column page that has footer inside right sidebar

image05: I tried making all the recommended CSS changes (in local.css) and then some and could move the footer all over the page except where it belongs. So then I decided to look at the generated code. This image is of the code in dreamweaver using the select parent tag tool to highlight matching tags' content. I started with

tags up within the end wrapper comment then when I highlighted

Hi,

Can you provide me the links to your site, sent me an email if you want privacy.

Thank you so much, Dan. Right now it's on my local server, I can move it to a live server this afternoon. One thing I just realized, if the right sidebar is longer than the middle content, the footer stays where it should. It's when the sidebar is shorter that the layout gets funny as in the screen shots I uploaded. I'll post again when I get it moved over. And thanks again for such a great template and all the work you've done!

I got it all moved, Dan. A bit of a problem until I realized I had to change my file system setting from the localhost temp file...but it's now live. This is the link: http://osbdev.lindasspace.org/sba-alum

Not sure where in the world you are. Will you be at DrupalCon in Chicago next month? Thanks again!

Please note, I haven't done any CSS work yet...just trying to get everything working first.

Hi,

Did you change the page.tpl.php? maybe you are wrong when modify it, its weird since the notice links now placed in sidebar right. Please check your page.tpl.php, download the fresh copy of Danland and matching the codes.

I live in Indonesia, GMT+7 :)

OK, I downloaded a fresh copy and it's still the same. I didn't change page.tpl.php, I copied it as page--front.tpl.php to change the front page photo show as the manual says. The notice links are there because I tried taking them out with local.css to see if that solved the problem and that's when I did the screen shots. I put them back in when I uploaded the site from local to live. I guess I can just make sure that the right column is always longer than the center block because it seems to work OK if it is longer than the center block...

I don't think I've ever communicated with anyone in Indonesia before! It really is a small world. But I guess it's a little far to come to DrupalCon!

Thanks again for your great work!

HI Dan--
I am still having the same problem on other pages as I develop the site. Same thing, when I enable the sidebar all the main content and footer content jumps into the sidebar. Most recent page, it doesn't matter if it's right or left sidebar. I'm working on local server, haven't uploaded recent work so I'm attaching screen shots. Thank you. Please let me know if you are busy with other issues in which case I will find another theme. I appreciate all your work.

Initially I thought the problem only occurred when the sidebar was shorter than the main content. I tried this with short or long and still have the problem.

Hi,

Yes I am too busy lately. Indonesia is too far from Chicago :)

Maybe you are missing somethings when changing the banner, like too much div. Can you show me your changes to page.tpl.php?

Thank you for your quick reply! I am attaching: page--front.tpl.php and local.css. I have not made any changes to core files. And even when I remove local.css from the directory, I still get the error. I wish I was a programmer and knew how to find and fix bugs!!
Does it help if I send screen shots of generated source code?

Hi,

How about if only using the page.tpl.php, remove your page--front.tpl.php and use the original one. Its strange behavior.

OK, I took out both the page--front.tpl.php and local.css and it's still the same. I'm sorry, I wish I could tell you that fixed it...

And just to be sure I downloaded clean files again. (I had backed up page.tpl.php before I played with it a bit early on and then I re-instated it) But I know that all the files are untouched now. Even styles.css. Can't think of anything else I could have done. It is the same in safari, firefox and chrome. Thank you.

I hope it is warmer where you are than it is here. It is snowing almost every day. I hope I can get to Chicago next week!!

Seems like this is not a confirmed bug at this stage? Changing the category accordingly.
