Integrate with 'pass' module & 5.0 port

I'd like to be able to have this module generate a unique code that is then sent as a premium text to the user.
This module functions very close to what I'm thinking (I've contacted the author about a 5.0 port).

I'd like to have the user come to the site. Request a pass (opt in). Receive a premium pass. have that pass be good for a certain number of days/hours AND only two ips.
The send module provides the rest of what I'm after, the only missing part is the SMS integrations
