Hi,

I'd like to use your theme but when I installed it on fresh copy of drupal 6.2 it displays the navigation in a strange way - See attached screenshot

That region is only set to be a specific size. You need to add content in there that fits or make it fit yourself with CSS. I suggest moving that block to a different region as its not meant for menus.
