Only User 1 can see/modify Slideshow Settings

Hi, this was asked about a couple of years back re. version 5.x, but I'm having the same problem using Drupal 6.20 and the latest version of Slideshow.

The problem is that any user besides #1, even other administrators, don't have the ability to change the Slideshow settings...because the Slideshow settings options don't even show up in a node Edit mode. I've played around with the permissions, but nothing seems to be working--in the 5.x thread, someone claimed that giving a user Administer Site Configuration permissions will solve this, but that doesn't work either.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance...
