Hi

I have created a links directory using drupal, i need suggestions on how to improve it. I am getting mixed reactions from people.

There are some obvious points, like the directory is not easy to navigate. Users do not user search that much...

Please feel free to throw negative comments and improvement opportunities.

I appreciate your inputs . Thanks

Where are you getting your banner ads from?

First impression is that the site is to help people locate useful IT information. To that end I would focus on providing the links and developing the taxonomy so that the links to external pages etc are dominating the site and peoples comments etc are only secondary to a description and tags etc. Closest thing I can think of is flickr.

I hope this helps.

may not be relevant, but i think using google and yahoo on same page violates google TOS. You better check on that to be safe..

First - get rid of as many ads as you can. Are you really trying to collect revenue from them? I doubt your users are really going to your site to see that many advertisements. Besides they take up an awful lot of real estate.

Second, and personal - you don't have anything on your site about the PMP (Project Management Professional) certification from the Project Management Institute

Hi - what module did you use for the links directory - if any? Just curious :)

thanks

Curious about that, too.
I'm building a drupal-based directory too, for the moment I chose the link module which allows CCK field.
However I really would like to have an automatic check of broken links, it's in the works for the links API.

Links package is he module I am using and i think it needs an upgrade to support features like reporting broken links etc.
