With the Drupal 5.0 release candidate available, I was wondering if this module would get ported sooner or later. As far as I know, there is nothing like this for 5.0, so I hope this module gets a patch/update for 5.0. Thanks again for this helpful module!

Now that 5.0 is out, it's worth a look.
I was planning to research the img_assist browser (also nice) also to see if this could be brought closer to it, but I guess it's not really compatable either.
I'll try to avoid making another file management API. :-} ... but often get caught up trying to do the right, generic thing instead of the thing that works.
I'll See.

Upgrade? Now 6.0 is almost out. It would be nice to have this module work down the road, as I'm not aware of anything that has this same functionality. I need to show files in a certain directory, within a certain node, and be able to hide certain files with certain extensions. An update for 5.0 would be wonderful!

There will probably be no updates. This project is retired. Alternative file browsing solutions are around, and upgrading this through to jquery would be an entire rewrite. The ability to embed views of a folder is unique, and may be resurrected, but probably as an extension of another existing interface.
