hello,

i created a page. i defined a three column layout. I added three blocks to the top column. (I'm replicating an existing site.) I used the GUI to disable two of the three blocks.

now i can't return to the GUI! If i click on the panel, click "content", Drupal keeps showing me the page. I don't want to see the page. I really want the GUI where i disabled two blocks.

I've rebooted my machine. i've clicked so many times. How do i edit the content so that I can enable blocks?

i'm navigating to:
admin/build/panels

under "manage pages" i find the page in question and click 'edit'.

in the bottom right corner of the widget there is "edit content". i click it. I get the freaking page. I need the GUI that enables me to enable some of the blocks in this panel.

another way i am attempting to work is starting at:
admin/build/pages

see the custom page i managed to add. click 'edit' to the right of it. The summary page appears.

click on "content." And the goddarned thing gives me the rendered page (that I need to fix)!!!

Argh!! i want the GUI! I want to be able to disable or enable blocks within the custom page!

I've cleared my cache. Jeez.

i dunno how or why, but at some point i could edit panes within a panel page. Maybe the block that i included had an error and that was why i could never get to the GUI.

Even if using "user 1" it seems that there is some permissions check that prevents you from seeing the "Left side", "Middle column", "Right side" pane representations (or whatever your layout is) on the panel and mini-panel edit screens.

Since I'm always using the default "user 1" account I get used to being able to do everything without adjusting permissions - but I wasn't seeing any way of editing the pane content once I created the panel. Once I gave "user 1" a role that had the panel related administration privileges I was able to see the pane representations and "Live preview" areas in Settings » Context » Layout » Content when I edited a panel.
