Most parts of my website are created with FrontPage. Drupal is installed in a subsection. As there were some difficulties in uploading files to the root folder using FrontPage, I cleaned the FrontPage extensions in the root folder and reinstalled them. Now, I am getting 404 error messages when I visit any pages (except the home page) in the Drupal section. I guess the problem has something to do with the .htaccess file, but am unable to solve the problem. Please suggest any solutions.

One solution
I disabled clean URLs by visiting http://mysite/drupal/?q=admin/settings , and now the site is working fine without any 404 messages. Still, I would like to enable clean URLs if someone suggests a solution ...
