Checked out items still set to available

Hello,

I am using the merci module (the development release feb 24 version for drupal 6). When I change the status of an item from confirmed to check out, the item does not appear as checkout under the current inventory page. It also still shows that the item is still available.

Would it be possible to make the item(s) to appear as checked out under the current inventory page when the status of an item is changed to checked out?
