Drupal is a great product, and it seems to me that 5.0 will be a transition into a much different face of Drupal. So, because I'm not involved in the real project but take a distant interest, please forgive my naive question for what's up on everybody's radar. I know everyone's still thinking about 5.0, but I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting to know what will be next and I'm sure others will want to start thinking/brainstorming/coding. So what's next? I have some ideas but some lines would be useful in this gray picture.

Come on people ... a 5.0
Come on people ... a 5.0 still has to be released.
doesn't matter
Yeah, but Firefox 3 is being developed for over a year and its alpha 1 was released 2 weeks after Firefox 2.0 shipped.
I'm curious if Drupal 6/7 would have finally complete content/presentation abstraction. It's not like HTML5/XHTML2 is going to become mainstream anytime soon, but it's not like Drupal 6 is going to ship anytime soon. I've created experimental framework and have found great satisfaction in separating presentation parsing from module output. I.e. internally, all Drupal modules would create XML and transform it via XSLT/whatever into HTML/XHTML/whatever.
I know this may sound too radical, but well, future happens to act like that.
