the "cas" module [1] installs and seems to work fine, but managingnews is ignoring the received info

tracing the http calls, the login box reflects the new login option and the user is directed to our ja-sig cas installation
cas redirects the user back to http://mymanagingnews/cas?ticket=whatever but the user box in the lower right corner still asks for user login

how can I help you integrating the cas module?
